There are specific requirements for creating your imagery to use on the laser. This tutorial in Photoshop will cover how to take an existing photograph and prepare it for cutting on the laser.

Sample Images

Below are some sample images that would be appropriate for laser cutting.

Make sure to start by RESIZING your image to the exact dimensions you will be carving.

Note how the finished images are mirrored (so the writing is backwards and when it is block printed it is right reading) AND the colors are INVERSED because the laser carves the BLACK and leaves the WHITE raised and suitable for printing.

The first image is a 50% threshold black and white, which can be RASTER carved OR turned into a VECTOR by using an OUTLINE TRACE. The second image is a HALFTONE which simulates a grey scale look.
